The latest trailer for The Marvels has introduced a new villain in the Marvel cinematic universe.
As is typical of Marvel Cinematic Universe films, The Marvels, the upcoming sequel to Captain Marvel, will see the return of several familiar characters, as showcased in the movie’s first trailer.
The trailer for The Marvels introduces the villain of the movie, Kree warrior Dar-Benn, portrayed by English actor Zawe Ashton, who makes her debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The trailer primarily centers on catching up with the Marvel superheroes, many of whom we have not seen for some time.
The trailer begins with Nick Fury in a space station, which suggests that he will survive the events of the upcoming Secret Invasion series. He is shown conducting experiments with Monica Rambeau, the SWORD agent who was introduced as an adult in the WandaVision series.
“When Monica uses her powers, she ends up swapping places with Kamala Khan, the young hero seen in the post-credits of Ms. Marvel, resulting in a spatial exchange.”
During Rambeau and Fury’s visit to the Khan household for an investigation, Kamala utilizes her powers, resulting in her switching places with Carol Danvers.
