On Thursday, Microsoft announced that Ubisoft Plus, the subscription service that allows users to access the publisher’s entire back catalog on a monthly basis, is now available on Xbox consoles. To sign up for a membership, it costs $17.99 per month.
Those who subscribe to Ubisoft Plus’ top-tier Multi Access plan, which provides access to the company’s catalog on Amazon Luna and on Windows PC via the Ubisoft Connect platform, can also now access the subscription service on Xbox consoles, Microsoft announced on Thursday. To play Ubisoft games on an Xbox One or Xbox Series X, Multi Access subscribers simply need to link their Xbox Live account to Ubisoft Plus. The Multi Access plan costs $17.99 per month.
Ubisoft has recently made an announcement that its Ubisoft Plus subscription service’s Multi Access tier is now accessible on Xbox consoles. The subscription service, which costs $17.99 per month, allows for cross-platform progression and game saves for select titles, although the titles have not been specified. Xbox Wire has published the complete list of games available on Ubisoft Plus. To access Ubisoft games on an Xbox One or Xbox Series X, users who have already subscribed to Multi Access can connect their Xbox Live account to Ubisoft Plus.
The statement from Ubisoft mentioned that subscribers would have access to “premium editions of upcoming releases,” but it wasn’t clear if this meant same-day launches of entirely new titles.
Ubisoft Plus was launched in September 2019 and is currently available to players on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, but only through the new Extra and Premium subscription tiers of PlayStation Plus.
The subscription service Ubisoft Plus provides a 10% discount on in-game purchases, similar to EA Play, which is a subscription service that has been available for nine years and can be accessed by Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers. This makes the two services comparable.
